Create Essentials was founded on the principle of creating waterless skincare essentials that are hand-poured in small batches and packaged in 100% biodegradable paperboard packaging. What are ‘waterless’ products? ‘Waterless’ or anhydrous products don’t contain any water. In an effort to reduce water consumption and the use of plastics, it was important for me to create a small line of balms and salves in a convenient and portable stick using the simplest of ingredients that are free from toxic chemicals and fragrances. Each formulation is unique and was made to meet specific skin concerns.
The word “create” has so much meaning and is a philosophy I have always lived by. To create means so many things to me; I have always strived to create love, peace, beauty, laughter and art in my life. Now, my path has taken me to create all-natural skin essentials to help soothe, calm, soften and add radiance to the skin.
Sometimes an unexpected path is the path you were always meant to be on. With a background of 20 years working as a seasoned makeup artist in the beauty, fashion, bridal and TV industry, I have combined my experience and skills to carry me into the next chapter of my life. I fell into making my own balms and salves with the purpose of making a product that would soothe and possibly heal my son’s skin issues caused by eczema. I am a certified Cosmetic Formulator with a diploma from the School of Natural Skincare: Organic Skincare Formulation. From conception, to formulation, to design, to production, to packaging, to marketing you really are supporting a one-woman business!
Create Essentials is small-batch and hand-poured in Frankford, Ontario.
Facts About Freshwater:
Did you know that between 70-80% of beauty products are made with freshwater? Humans, plants, and animals rely on freshwater for survival. With the population increasing every year, we are putting a strain on our finite supply of freshwater. Water scarcity will especially impact improverished communities and Aboriginal communities the most.
Benefits of Creating Waterless Products:
- Conserves water and is better for the environment.
- Preservatives are not needed to create waterless products.
- Waterless products don’t need to be washed off, and therefore, reduce water use.
